Al Buhrs, Two-Handed Fly Casting is one of the top handful of books on Spey or Tow-Handed fly casting in existence. Al is an FFF Certified Two-Handed Casting Instructor and was instrumental in the development of the THCI program for the FFF. He is an inveterate tinkerer with the gear and tools of two-handed casting and a great teacher. It took Al only two minutes to solve a 6 year old problem I had with the Single Spey cast.
Simon Gawesworths, "Spey Casting" is another fine book on using the double handed rod. This is probably the most widely read book on the subject. Simonl is also an FFF Certified Two-Handed Casting Instructor and was instrumental in the development of the THCI program for the FFF.
Joan Wulffs, "Fly Casting Techniques", and Mel Kreiger's "The Essence of Fly Casting", are two of the standard texts on single handed casting and are recommended reading for beginners and prospective instructors. Other books by Joan Wulff and Mel are also hightly recommended.
